Cathy C. Hall
All About Cathy

And now a word about Gladys the Goose...

She's Cathy C. Hall's muse.

Frankly, Cathy would have preferred Johnny Depp or some other rakishly, charming lad. But, alas! Writers do not get to choose their muse. She got Gladys.

Typical.
Cathy C. Hall is a writer and humor columnist.

She didn't start out as a writer. In fact, she thought she'd be a famous Broadway star, sort of like Julie Andrews, only with a cute Southern drawl. Unfortunately, Cathy found that a pretty good singing voice was also required for that job. So, it was off to Valdosta State University for a degree in Radio/TV  Journalism and trying her hand at something completely different.

She worked in radio sales, and as a news director, commercial copywriter, and all-around female voice when needed. She loved her stint in a university library, where she cataloged books, and spent an awful lot of time in the stacks reading the books she was supposed to be shelving.

She thought attending Mercer University for graduate work in English/Education would be a fine idea. That learning came in handy when she charged into education, teaching preschoolers to high school students. Here's a funny thing. There wasn't all that much difference between the two.

Cathy stoked the home fires, too, raising three children and one crazy dog. Turns out a good sense of humor works in most jobs, whether it's motherhood, education, or radio broadcasting.

And so Cathy started writing about the funny stuff in this wonderful world, and that's how she ended up as a writer. Which is way better than trying to remember the words to all those Broadway songs.
